When Neato Robotics hired Liquid, they knew they needed a stronger narrative and expression to compete against Roomba, the market leader in the robotic vacuum space. After some guerrilla discovery (we literally went to people’s houses and watched as they used the product), an interesting insight became clear—these vacuums are a key member of the family (almost to the same degree as family pets). Thus, we set out to create a visual style, brand video and campaign worthy of the brand’s ardent fans—something that showed off the human-like personality of the spunky vacuum. It’s said in the industry, “Avoid working with dogs and kids.” At Liquid, we embrace the challenge.
