Today, Fortive is a Fortune 500 industrial holding company with a diverse team of 24,000 employees worldwide. But the company was created as an offshoot of Danaher, a global science and technology innovator. Danaher’s decision to create a new publicly traded holding company would require more than 20 of their operating companies to be owned and operated by Fortive.
Our assignment was to introduce Fortive to Danaher’s 80,000 employees, with a special focus on targeting the operating companies that would soon be owned and operated by the new company. The first step was to launch and establish awareness of Fortive. From there, we focused on helping global employees connect with the company’s shared purpose, internalize purpose-driven stories and tell new stories around Fortive’s values.
By positioning Fortive as a “six-billion-dollar startup with a 30-year foundation of success,” we developed the Fortive employer brand to help tell their new story, designed and executed a global launch celebration and helped get more than 24,000 employees excited for the future.
