Joining Liquid via a move across country from South Florida, Derek brings a wealth of experience garnered and honed at agencies large and small up and down the East Coast leading clients across a plethora of industries including automotive, retail, apparel, travel and tourism, spirits, trucking, healthcare, SAAS, and more. Former agencies include Zimmerman Advertising, Team One, SapientNitro (SapientRazorfish), The Community (La Comunidad), Mower (Eric Mower + Associates), and Damn Good. At these agencies, Derek has worked with a number of clients including AutoNation, Foot Locker Inc., Lexus, Visit Florida, Beam Suntory (Jim Beam: Hornitos, Sauza, and Sauza 901), Daimler Trucks North America (Detroit Diesel and Freightliner Trucks), and more.

Derek holds a bachelor’s of science in journalism with an emphasis in advertising from West Virginia University and a master’s of science in digital communications from Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
