Joining Liquid via a move across country from South Florida, Derek brings a wealth of experience garnered and honed at agencies large and small up and down the East Coast, having led clients across a plethora of industries, including automotive, retail, apparel, travel and tourism, spirits, trucking, healthcare, SAAS and more. Some of his former agencies include Zimmerman Advertising, Team One, SapientNitro (SapientRazorfish), The Community (La Comunidad), Mower (Eric Mower + Associates) and Damn Good. At these agencies, Derek worked with a number of clients including AutoNation, Foot Locker Inc., Lexus, Visit Florida, Beam Suntory (Jim Beam: Hornitos, Sauza and Sauza 901), Daimler Trucks North America (Detroit Diesel and Freightliner Trucks) and more.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism with an emphasis in advertising from West Virginia University and a Masters of Science in digital communications from Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
