As design director, Boyd works collaboratively with strategists to define the strategic approach and leads a team of talented designers to execute the creative directions. Boyd has delivered successful brand strategy solutions and communications platforms for companies such as Intel, Anheuser-Busch, Jeep, Walmart, Cisco, HP, Facebook, LexisNexis, John Deere, SanDisk, PayPal, Hitachi, Nvidia, Aruba, Microsoft, Honeywell and Sony.

Prior to landing at Liquid, Boyd was creative director at Pacifico Integrated Marketing Communications, a brand marketing and public relations firm in San Jose, where he worked on accounts such as Samsung, American Heart Association, Rambus and THX.

Before that, Boyd worked at The Santa Cruz Seaside Company, where he managed the creative development of several hotels and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Boyd has been a guest speaker at San Jose State University, the AdClub of Silicon Valley and Adobe Xchange and has also penned op-ed articles on advertising issues in Biz Ink, a Silicon Valley business publication.

During his career, Boyd has received over 150 awards from the American Advertising Federation, West Coast Show, The Summit Awards, New York Festival’s Advertising Annual 11 and Fortune Magazine’s MC Icon Awards, among others. His work has also been published in several books including How Design’s “The Art of Design”, “Colossal Design”, by Cheryl Cullen, “Identity Solutions” by Amy Schell, and Rockport Publisher’s “1000 Bags, Tags and Labels” by Kiki Eldridge.
