Founded as a spinoff from Intel, ST Microelectronics and the private equity firm Francisco Partners, Numonyx was created from key assets of businesses that generated over $3.6 billion in combined annual revenue. This new semiconductor company was well-versed in making flash memories for phones, digital cameras and computers. It wasn’t, however, adept at branding those capabilities. Enter Liquid Agency. By developing a master brand strategy, brand identity and visual style, Liquid was able to roll out a differentiating look and feel that delivered impact in a competitive brandscape.
Liquid facilitated the brand launch themed “We’re changing the face of memory” internally and externally on a global scale. The deliverables included a new brand identity, corporate communications systems, website, intranet, sales tools, videos, environmental design, signage, as well as tradeshow and event properties. The result? Numonyx was acquired by Micron Technologies in 2010.
