Client Director

The Client Director reports to the Director of Client Services and is the primary relationship owner for one or more of Liquid's "anchor clients"). The main responsibilities include strategically leading the relationship with the client(s) while ensuring client satisfaction and providing project level oversight and meeting revenue goals through the development of new business opportunities with existing clients. The Client Director works collaboratively with the Creative Director to ensure that the creative work meets the client's strategic objectives. The Client Director also may manage and work collaboratively with the Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and/or Project Coordinators who are tasked with tracking project budgets, deliverables, schedules and metrics.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow existing business: Takes an active leadership role in growing the volume and scope of work we deliver to existing clients. More specifically, the Client Director strives to meet or exceed the business development revenue goals set by the company on a quarterly basis by actively up-selling and cross-selling Liquid's services.
  • Manage all aspects of an integrated marketing plan, including online/offline advertising, promotions, events, digital, marketing communications, email, mobile and social.
  • Develop intimate knowledge of client’s brand and business: The Client Director will keep informed of the client's business initiatives, industry trends, competitive and market landscape in order to add strategic value to the relationship and identify opportunities for delivering more services.
  • Build long-term relationships: Meets with clients on a regular basis to discuss branding and marketing plans and Liquid's performance. Maps the client's organization in order to establish and build relationships across the client organization. Helps ensure that the Liquid Contacts database is updated with complete contact information for clients and prospects.
  • Respond to RFP/RFQ’s: Owns the overall proposal/RFP response process and works in collaboration with the Creative Director and Project Manager to write proposals, develop agency approach, staffing, budgets and milestones.
  • Manage Financials: Establishes financial relationship with client (i.e. T&M, Retainer, Project Based, etc.) and manages to that relationship. Initiates all client billings and approves client invoices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other client services personnel: Meets with Client Supervisors and Client Coordinators on a regular basis to provide guidance, mentoring and direction and is responsible for real-rime as well as annual performance feedback.
  • Assist in development of Case Studies: Helps identify potential Case Studies and gathers content.
Project Oversight responsibilities:
  • Develop Creative Brief: The Client Director writes the Creative Brief used to establish strategic and tactical objectives and parameters with client. The Creative Brief will be reviewed by the Creative Director prior to submitting it to the client for approval.
  • Participate in internal reviews: Actively participates in evaluating the creative work against the Creative Brief during midpoint and final checkpoint reviews, ensuring that it will meet or exceed the client's expectations.
  • Assist in creative presentations: Along with Creative Director takes a leadership position in creative presentations, facilitating the approval process.
  • Client liaison: Continually acts as a liaison between the client and the internal project team.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience: Senior brand, advertising, account services, and/or marketing management working with respected agencies for substantial corporate clients and start-ups.At least 3-5 years of digital focused experience developing and implementing online strategies, tracking metrics, reporting results
  • 3+ years of experience working on B2B technology accounts
  • 2+ years of agency experience
  • Strong sales and presentation skills: Ability to clearly and convincingly articulate branding, marketing and creative strategies.
  • Project oversight expertise: Experience delivering integrated branding/marketing programs for large and sophisticated marketing organizations as well as for small entrepreneurial clients.
  • Effective leadership and organizational skills: Ability to manage, mentor and inspire the people reporting to them and create a supportive work environment leading to professional growth.
  • Broad marketing experience: Understanding of marketing services and processes. Must have generalist experience that may include developing brand strategies, retail marketing programs, trade shows and exhibits, interactive projects, brand identity systems, collateral design, etc.
  • Relationship builder: Successful track record developing long-term client relationships based on delivering value and results.
  • Understanding of digital marketing services process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Open, friendly, respectful and supportive attitude that strives to create a better experience with clients as well as internal teams.
  • Ability to travel occasionally: Open to overnight visits to other cities for business purposes.

Job Opportunities
Production Designer

The Production Designer reports to the Creative Director. The SPA performs a variety of graphic art production tasks, ranging from photo retouching (such as retouching color and lighting, deleting or adding objects, removing dust, scratches, creating clipping masks, image compositing, creating images from scratch and mapping artwork into objects, etc.), creation and refinement of vector art illustrations and illustrative elements, building of print-ready mechanicals, and other general studio tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains constant communication with Team (Creative Director, Designers, Project Managers, Developers) on all issues listed above.
  • Reviews work with Creative Director at key points during the project. The Creative Director ensures that the CCO is involved, if necessary, in the approval process.
  • Has an exceptional talent for the Adobe Creative Suite of products.
  • Excels at a broad variety of executional styles.
  • Maintains exceptionally clean, organized files.
  • Has a strong understanding of color spaces, and works within the appropriate color space.
  • Has a great technical understanding of the technicalities of production, and production techniques.
  • Is a visual problem-solver.
Requirements:
  • 5-7+ years of solid brand and design experience, with exposure to brand strategy, identity development, print and digital marketing materials, websites and interactive projects, trade shows and events, packaging, advertising, etc.
  • 5-7 years experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Must be considered at Advanced/Expert Level.
  • Light experience with the preparation of art for video and flash are also a plus.
  • Must be familiar with basic concepts (layer masks, clipping masks, channels, smart objects and the difference between RGB and CMYK).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (open, friendly and supportive attitude)
  • Must be willing to work on-site.
  • Must provide examples of before and after work.
  • Provide references of outstanding/quality work.
Design Director

The Design Director (DD) reports to the Creative Director. The DD supervises a design team that may include one or more Designers, Production Designers and Interactive Specialists. The DD drives the design process from concept development through design refinement and final art production. The DD is tasked with developing work that meets the strategic objectives and that is produced within the quality standards, the budget and the timeline set by the agency. Design Directors may specialize in many areas (brand identity design, interactive, print media design, motion graphics, etc.), but versatility across a range of projects/media is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Develop design solutions in alignment with the project objectives and supervise the design team.
  • Meets with Creative Director to discuss project objectives, creative strategy and potential design solutions.
  • Meets with Project Manager to review parameters, schedules, budgets and resource allocation issues.
  • Develops initial concepts and comps, oversees design evolution up to final art.
  • Supervises internal design team; manages completion of deliverables; controls accuracy and quality; meets schedule and budget requirements.
  • Maintains constant communication with Project Manager on all issues listed above.
  • Reviews work with Creative Director at key points during the project (prior to presentations). The Creative Director ensures that the CCO is involved, if necessary, in the approval process
  • Works with Creative Director to select and manage external creative resources (writers, photographers, illustrators, interactive specialists, etc.)
Requirements:
  • Strong concepting skills, strategic thinking and the ability to articulate strategic rationales for work.
  • 5-7+ years of solid brand and design experience, with exposure to brand strategy, identity development, print and digital marketing materials, websites and interactive projects, trade shows and events, packaging, advertising, etc.
  • Retail experience a plus.
  • The talent and experience to develop world-class, brand and strategy-driven design solutions.
  • The ability to manage and motivate a design team to produce outstanding creative work – from initial concept through final execution.
  • Expert knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Strong client presentation skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with Project Managers and manage budgets, resources and timelines for multiple projects running simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (open, friendly and supportive attitude)
