2016 Silicon Valley ADDY Awards

The Silicon Valley ADDY Awards gala is always a great opportunity to celebrate the innovative work that is created by some of the most respected agencies in the Bay Area. This year we were pleased to receive Best in Show for the Ernest Packaging Solutions website, as well as ADDY Awards for Ernest Packaging Solutions Fender Guitar campaign, Nasdaq 25 on 25 campaign and Ernest Packaging Solutions Skate video. We’re honored to receive these awards and very grateful to our clients for the opportunity to do award-winning work.

Ernest Website

LAW-Addys-Ernest-Website_UpdateIn 2007 we developed the original Ernest Packaging Solutions’ website and overhauled their online content and business acquisition strategy. One of the biggest challenges was targeting Ernest’s messaging to the different regions where Ernest was active, as well as accentuating each region’s inherent solutions and service offerings. But we did it. And in the first few months of the new website’s launch, Ernest saw increases of thousands of new monthly visitors, and about 300 new leads each month. In 2015, we introduced a fully responsive redesigned site with full CMS.

Ernest Guitar Social Campaign

LAW-Addys-Ernest-Social_UpdateThe Cardboard Guitar is our most successful Cardboard Chaos installment yet, with over three million views and shares around the world. We once again partnered with Signal Snowboards as well as legendary guitar maker, Fender. Ernest’s engineering team and Fender’s master craftsmen teamed up to produce an iconic Fender Stratocaster electric guitar made entirely out of cardboard. Overcoming incredible strength and structural challenges, they created an amazing, playable cardboard Stratocaster, complete with Fender’s certificate of authenticity. But the real question was whether it could duplicate that one-of-kind Strat sound? Luckily, rocker Brad Delson (from a little band called Linkin Park) was more than happy to take it for a test drive. The conclusion? “It sounds just like a Strat.” Want to learn more? Read the full story.

Nasdaq 25 on 25

LAW-Addys-Nasdaq_Update3In 2015, Nasdaq celebrated its 25th year in the Bay Area (San Francisco and Silicon Valley). With this milestone, Nasdaq aimed to drive awareness to signal its commitment and impact in supporting “ambitious” companies through their entire lifecycle—IPO, through Nasdaq 100. As a result, Nasdaq asked Liquid Agency to develop a campaign “25 on 25” targeting C-Suite/VP-level audiences, as well as investment community, Nasdaq-listed and pre-IPO companies in the Bay Area. The campaign included guerilla tactics, microsite, and social and paid media, eventually culminating with a Nasdaq hosted celebration at the opening of the SF Entreprenuerial Center.

Ernest Skate Video

LAW-Addys-Ernest-Skate-Video_Update

Cardboard Chaos is about pushing the limits of what cardboard can do, while bringing together creativity and innovation to achieve what you’d never imagine could be possible. We’ve made five videos in this series, and we’re not done yet. For customers seeking a partner to help them solve a complex packaging problem, these stories highlight Ernest’s incredible engineering team and how they’ll stop at nothing to get the job done. Ernest produced the Cardboard Skateboard video with our partner, Signal Snowboards. Just as the name suggests, we custom designed and created a fully functional skateboard made out of cardboard. We even brought in pro skateboarder Tony Hawk to test it out. His reaction? “I never thought I could skate on paper!” Thanks to Ernest, you can now.
