2015 Silicon Valley ADDY Awards

The Silicon Valley ADDY Awards gala is always a great opportunity to celebrate the innovative work that is created by some of the most respected agencies in the Bay Area. This year we were pleased to be awarded an ADDY Award for the Good Technology logo, and another ADDY for a video we created for the HP Sprout retail launch. We also received a Silver Award for the logo we designed for Tintri, and a Bronze Award for the DMC global website. We’re honored to receive these awards and very grateful to our clients for the opportunity to do award-winning work.

The Liquid team joined other talented Silicon Valley agencies at the 2015 Silicon Valley ADDYs hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Silicon Valley. This annual competition includes work done by agencies across the Bay Area and recognizes the very best in design, advertising, and communications across a variety of categories, including traditional as well as digital disciplines. This year’s celebration was held at Method 42 Productions, a company specializing in event design. We celebrated the night away with friends from the creative community, and at the end of the evening we proudly took home some awards.

Good Technology logo.

LAW-Addys-Good

Over the past few years Liquid has worked with Good Technology to evolve the company’s brand through a number of strategic initiatives—including developing consistent brand messaging, a new visual style, corporate videos, and an advertising campaign running in the WSJ, Fortune, and other major print and digital media. The new brand identity that received an ADDY Award was developed to better express the new positioning strategy. “Christy Wyatt, Good’s CEO, felt strongly about the equity of their previous logo, yet she also felt it was too connected to their past. Part of our launch strategy was to maintain the visual style of the brand, but evolve the design of the logo in order to help reposition Good as a leader in mobile security. We refined one of their existing assets, the “G-lock”—a symbol used on Good’s apps—to help us do that. The net result is a unique, simple, and elegant solution” said Diane Stember Richards, Group Creative Director.

LAW-Addys-Sprout

HP hired us to launch the HP Sprout product at retail. Sprout is widely considered one of the most innovative products developed by HP in years. Given that it is a completely new technology, explaining what it is and how it works was essential in making the launch successful. The project included a comprehensive retail merchandising effort that included merchandising displays in retail stores nationwide, a digital destination and a mobile retail experience. Additionally, we also developed a series of short videos showcasing how different market segments could take advantage of the new technology. We designed an intuitive interface that invited shoppers to try the new system by choosing the demo that was most appropriate to them. We were thrilled that the judges awarded this project a coveted ADDY Award, especially in a category that includes so many entries from very talented agencies. We are grateful for HP’s confidence in us, and we’re proud of the collaboration with the talented folks at Emotion Studios who helped us produce such beautiful video work.

DMC is a fast growing company that is growing through acquisitions and expanding into new global markets. We were tasked with developing a strategic approach to the brand architecture and a well-defined positioning platform. This strategic work established the foundation for brand communications, including messaging and visual style across a wide variety of touch points. One of the most critical elements was DMC’s website—which needed to be redesigned to meet these new brand objectives. Liquid designed and produced an elegant, responsive website that has become one of the most important executions of the new DMC brand.

Tintri develops powerful virtualized storage solutions that are revolutionizing the industry. They asked us to help them evolve their brand to better represent the sophistication of their storage solutions. We developed a strategic platform that became the foundation for the design of a completely new brand identity system that included a new visual style, and communications language. The result has been a dynamic and contemporary brand that has inspired Tintri’s employees and captured the attention of the market.
