Liquid was founded by industry veterans who are passionate about building brands and creating a respected, well run business. Over the last few years we’ve built a management team to help us accomplish our goals — and we feel lucky to work with such a talented and dedicated group.
Professional Bio:
Philip has accumulated nearly 20 years of award-winning international advertising and design account management experience. A native Swede and formally trained cabinetmaker journeyman, his first US advertising gig started in 1991 with Young & Rubicam in San Francisco, where he worked as an account executive. Two years later, Wieden & Kennedy lured him to Portland two to work on Nike International. In 1995, Philip moved back to Stockholm to work for advertising agency Hallstedt & Hvid, where he assembled top international creative teams to tackle projects for clients such as Sony, Cloetta Chocolates and the Volvo Round the World Yachting Race.
In 1998, Philip returned to the US to join Razorfish as an Account Director, overseeing all Microsoft projects. Among other endeavors, he was responsible for identity and packaging for the original Xbox launch, a Microsoft corporate identity overhaul, and several generations of the Office Suite packaging systems. During his time managing the Microsoft relationship, the partnership grew manifold, and in 2007, Razorfish was purchased by Microsoft.
By 2005 Philip had returned to Sweden to work with one of Europe's most recognized ad agencies, Forsman & Bodenfors, where he managed the relationship with IKEA, the agency's largest account. He spent four years at F&B, during which time he helped grow the relationship with IKEA through programs with several new European and US IKEA markets.
At the beginning of 2010, Philip and his family returned to Portland homestead, where he joined Liquid Agency as Client Ambassador. In this role, Philip is responsible for working with key clients to deliver strategic branding programs designed to build more relevant relationships with their audiences and produce tangible business results.
Philip has been a regular speaker at international events and advertising shows. He is proficient in Swedish, German and English - and gets by in French. He lives with his best friend and partner April, and their two sons. Apart from being a brand and design junkie, he loves cooking and eating good food, and is in a committed long term renovation relationship with a 100-year-old house.
