Professional Bio:
Mark is a member of Liquid's Leadership Team and the President of Liquid Europe. He is responsible for the growth of the agency's European operations, and for the quality of the work we deliver to our clients in the European marketplace. Mark is passionate about ensuring that the branding and marketing needs of our clients are met through work that is strategic, creative – and most of all – effective.

Mark started his communications career as a writer, at first working within advertising agencies, and later as freelance writer working directly for corporate clients. By 1995 Mark had added design to his writing business, and started Jupiter Design, a firm that became one of the UK's top 25 design agencies. Under Mark's leadership, Jupiter has delivered award winning work for some of the biggest and most innovative brands in the UK, including Boots, Wilkinson, Argos and Capital One.

He eventually sold the majority interest in Jupiter to take some time off with his family, and write a book. The result was a best-selling book titled "Copywriting: Successful Writing for Design, Advertising and Marketing". The book advocates that creating effective copywriting is of vital importance, and well-written text and a strong brand voice are essential if you want to stand out from the competition.

Mark is an approved Design Consultant at the UK Design Council, specializing in branding, and is a Visiting Fellow at Nottingham Trent University's School of Art and Design.

Mark is a graduate of the University of Manchester and a past student at Durham University Business School. He is a 'Business Champion' for the East Midlands, and if you look carefully you'll find his column every Tuesday in the Nottingham Post, including occasional rants on why business should consider adopting design thinking!
